By introducing AZUL technology in the commercial market, these constraints will be removed from the equation as the catalyst can be manufactured using conventional chemical processes at a larger scale and lower cost.

AZUL catalyst is formulated using a biomimetic metal complex blue pigment and inexpensive carbon as the primary ingredients.

It is highly reactive due to its unique properties and chemical structure, making it a remarkable alternative for rare-metal catalysts.

The organic compound AZUL’s chemical structure is inspired by the molecular structure of hemoglobin and its ability to effectively control oxidation and reduction. By adopting these properties of the biological compound, the firm successfully increased AZUL’s corrosion resistance and performance on the electromotive force and made it comparable to existing catalysts in the marketplace.

AZUL Energy’s portfolio includes various catalyst options, like catalysts alone or combined with carbon blacks. Per customer requests, it also provides catalyst electrodes and inks.
