Flagship platforms such as Pilot.Auto, Web.Auto, and Edge. Auto emerged from that philosophy. Rather than offering endto-end products, TIER IV provides reference toolkits designed for safety, modularity, and rapid integration. Pilot.Auto builds on Autoware to deliver customizable autonomous software. Web.Auto offers cloud-based development operations for simulation and data workflows. Edge.Auto supplies hardware kits that support quick deployment. Each platform gives partners the tools to shape their own systems efficiently and reliably.

The impact of this approach becomes clear in deployment. While many companies remain locked in extended pilot phases, TIER IV is already powering autonomous services. Through L4 Mobility and ADS Development, the company has launched on-demand buses, robotaxis, and industrial logistics systems in partnership with local governments and commercial players. It also supports OEMs and suppliers by offering reference designs, sensor integration, and validation services to accelerate their path from prototype to production.

Partnerships play a central role in this momentum. TIER IV’s position as a co-founder of the Autoware Foundation places it at the heart of a growing global community. Programs like TIER IV Academy, the AI Driving School, and the Autonomous Driving AI Challenge are actively shaping the next generation of engineers. Certified by Japan’s ministries of economy and labor, these initiatives combine hands-on learning with real-world challenges, preparing students and professionals to contribute to a rapidly advancing field.
